I have read only two books of Al Imfeld so far and a variety
of articles he has published in Swiss newspapers. A tiny
fraction only of what Al Imfeld has published so far.
The two books, 'Wenn Fledermäuse...' and 'Da kam eines Tages...',
only had one drawback: they were finished as soon as I had
started to read. Reading I followed Al Imfeld around the
globe and back to where he was born here in Switzerland. He
introduced me to all kind of people, some of them amusing, others
opinionated, frightening, or sad. Reading his books
and thereby catching a glimpse of the world through his eyes
is a pleasure you should not miss.

About the author:
Al Imfeld was born in 1935. He studied theology, philosophy, sociology,
afterwards journalism and agriculture. He works as a development expert,
and contributes as a journalist to newspapers and radio. In addition,
he has published a variety of books.
As far as I know, the books of Al Imfeld have not yet been translated in
English. So I'll stick in the following to the language Al Imfeld
writes in. For those of you who don't understand a word of
what follows: Sorry for that. You're sure missing some
amusing stories!
