The page you just came from is intended to draw your attention to some authors I particularly like and which in the mean time seem not to be too well known, either in genral or then especially in English speaking countries. In this sense it is kind of a public relation page aiming at promoting these authors.

Why them and not others? Well, as already mentioned it is a purely personal choice. Based on the books I know and how I like them. And even in that frame the choice is incomplete. Another incomplete list of authors who could appear on the page you just came from, famous ones now included:

Franz Kafka, Shakespear, D.H. Lawrence, Friedrich Dürrenmat, Max Frisch, Elias Canetti, Agotha Kristoff, Hermann Hesse, H.G. Wells, Oscar Wilde, Ignazio Silone, Gabriele Garcia Marquez, Mario Vargas Illosa, Lessing, Iwan Gontscharow, Nagib Machfus, George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Jewgeni Samjatin, Calixte Beyala, Urs Widmer, Franz Hohler, Guy de Maupassant, Moliere, Victor Hugo, Goethe, Albert Camus, Günter Grass, Edgar Allen Poe, Aldous Huxley, Harper Lee, Umberto Eco, Swift, Italo Calvino, and many others...
